Imlil and Marrakech

We’re back in Marrakech!

Well we did enjoy our trip to the High Atlas Mtns although seems we got a bit of a tummy bug and spent a chunk of it on the loo 🙁 So unfortunately spent the best part of yesterday indoors. To make matters just a little more uncomfortable it was REALLY cold, it snowed throughout the night and there was a fair bit still lying around in the morning. Great to see the white stuff again but its good to get back to the warmth. Our tummies are still a bit iffy today but we’re soldiering on, and tonight it looks like we may have turned a corner. Just playing it safe now, lots of bottled water and packaged food (At least until this thing passes, cant miss out on all the good Moroccan food!). Don’t worry we are fine, almost back to 100%.

Took a bit of a walk around town today out to the Jardin Majorelle. Its filled with hundreds of cacti and succulents, surrounded by bright colourful paintwork in oranges, yellows and blues, mosaics and tilework left-right and center.

We are playing it really by ear at the moment. Currently we have three options pending for tomorrow.
– Head out on a Western Sahara trip to the other side of the mtns (Would be awesome but A LOT of travelling 2/3 days)
– Head onto our next stint in Fes (7hrs of train time)
– Stay in Marrakech for another night or two

The way we are feeling now… who knows, although we need to make our mind up tonight.
